I think that the history of the Electricity Commission of NSW should be kept quite distinct from that of "Pacific Power"

ECNSW was a "crown corporation" and carried out many public service obligations, such as hiring more apprentices than it needed, as a way of supplying private industry with needed skills.

Also, ECNSW represented a political viewpoint that state-run commissions for the supply of utility could work. "Pacific Power" represents an alternate point of view that only private enterprise can supply efficiently. These two views of history and economic rationale, to me, seem so different that I think that the distinction is worth preserving.
