Are we sure Elbert Yoneq Spriggs is the way his name should be spelled? Did he officially/legally change his middle name? Zach (wv) (t) 21:10, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

well, the official twelve tribes website [1] doesn't currently include any mention of the name Yoneq, only Elbert Eugene Spriggs, and sometimes "Gene". Other sources refer to him as "Yoneq" but not as a middle name, kind of as an entirely new name. But this may be a thing of the past since the twelve tribes website doesn't refer to him as such any more, or in fact refer to him at all except in a historical context. Maybe the page should be moved to Elbert Eugene Spriggs, and redirect from this page, and Yoneq. Kewp 06:52, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and moved the page to Elbert Eugene Spriggs because it seems more correct.--Kewp (t) 18:18, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a copyright violation? -Branddobbe 05:31, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, this is not a copyright violation. All the information here is freely made available without copyright on Mr. Spriggs own website, www.TwelveTribes.org

There seem to be a large number of minor grammatical errors that could be fixed in the "autobiographical" section/

Wikipedia entries about people should be biographical - not autobiographical. This entry is nothing less than cult propaganda. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.8.164.42 (talk) 12:12, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

On 10/23 I corrected a large number of bogus changes that totally violated the guidelines for information about living persons...sheer vandalism. As the guidelines plainly state, " Controversial material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libelous." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.222.24 (talk) 04:34, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ON 10/28 I corrected three more vandalizations of this article that once again violated the guidelines for information about living persons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.222.24 (talk) 05:58, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ON 10/30 I corrected another vandalism of this page. All of them have been by the same user...210.11.35.209 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.222.24 (talk) 18:00, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all,

I've deleted about 90% of this article as a copyright violation. I was pretty close to deleting the article in its entirety. If the website mentioned wishes to contribute text, it should be done in a controlled, trackable manner via the OTRS system. We cannot allow direct copies and pastes from external websites without a proper license and without explicit permission. Repeated unproductive edits by User:Chezikah

[edit]

If this continues, we should discuss further. I'm certainly open to a critical discussion of Mr. Spriggs' detractors but these edits are not informative.RevelationDirect (talk) 01:47, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think that, given the history of repeated vandalization on this page, as well as the clearly biased editing from members and former members of Mr Spriggs' movement, this page should be either locked or semi-protected. Jaybird vt (talk) 01:38, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yoneq

[edit]

How do we make references to Yoneq redirect to this cult’s Wikipedia article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.111.49.82 (talk) 00:23, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
