In looking up information about Edgerrin James, I kept seeing this phrase all over the internet (referencing this Wikipedia page):
He's currently the record holder for most total yards of scrimmage per game in a regular season career. The correct phrasing should be "most total yards from scrimmage," since "scrimmage" refers to the scrimmage line -- the yardage line from where each play starts. Hope this helps. |
