[edit]I just removed a section that I'm fairly sure was vandalism, probably by current students. Humorous but still vandalism (and with a misspelling, tsk.) Correct me if I am wrong. I could have sworn Christopher Buckley the author also went to Eaglebrook. No mention on his Wikipedia page of this. I'm an alum so I'll try to keep an eye on this page. --Pigman (talk • contribs) 02:25, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know much about the school, but due to the recent vandalism, I've added it to my watchpage as well. The more eyes the better. janejellyroll 03:32, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- More notable than Chris Buckley, the curent king of Jordan is an alum.70.150.94.194 18:55, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Large photo6993 20565.jpg
[edit]Image:Large photo6993 20565.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- 204.88.29.163 (talk) 16:57, 26 April 2010 (UTC) I am an alumn to this school as well. I had some of the best experiences of my life there. ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT school.
Notice to Current Eaglebrook Students
[edit]Hi Eaglebrook Students (IP 74.92.45.17),
I understand that it is tempting to edit your school's page or other pages and add your own ideas/opinions about things and/or change facts as a prank. However, this is against Wikipedia policies: Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, and Wikipedia:No original research. Your edits from the school campus can be traced back to you and you will be banned from editing after multiple cases of vandalism, to this article or other articles on English Wikipedia. Wikipedia has automated programs ("bots") and human volunteers that WILL find, revert, and report your harmful edits. Your IP address has been blocked in the past. It is currently unblocked, and let's try not to get blocked again, okay?
Of course, you are welcome to positively contribute to Wikipedia, if your content is neutral, verifiable, and correctly sourced. Because your internet connection at school is a shared IP, I recommend that you create an account so that you will not be affected by others' actions. However, remember that an account can still be traced and will be blocked if abused.
Good luck and enjoy your time at Eaglebrook!

- To be clear, I don't think it always violates the COI policy for students to edit their school's article, but they must of course do so in accordance with all other Wikipedia policies. --Samuel J. Howard (talk) 18:40, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Samuel J. Howard: Agreed. I was actually referring to their prank edits in the past that were made of negative opinions (without sources) and false information. Best, Tony Tan98 · talk 20:49, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
