In need of a serious rewriting

[edit]

... or it could be deleted entirely.

I do not intend to bring ESL's popularity and influence into question. Those are more than Wikipedia worthy. However, the wiki page itself is in shambles, a big stub compared to other pages relating to electronic sports leagues and competitions. Little to no information is backed-up by references, it is also lacking content and a coherent, comprehensible structure. Grammar and spelling are poor at best, as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ProKro (talkcontribs) 20:47, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've started to cleanup the article and agree it's quite a mess. Big parts are/were a poor translation of the German counterpart, so as a native German speaker I can help with that to a certain extent. But my English is far from perfect, and I'm fairly new to editing wikipedia (properly formatting references etc), so it will certainly need additional editing after I'm done.
