Work time

[edit]

Alright, this page is recreated, but its a mess. Anyone got a plan or should I just dive in? ChrisGualtieri (talk) 05:33, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly it's mess. It fails WP:Notability, has a lot of tags and most of its information is already in Dragon Ball and the characters list. I would suggest merging it back.Tintor2 (talk) 20:15, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't fail notability. What kind of a comment is that? Also, the push forward is important. And we already have lots of info to work with, just need to add it. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 03:15, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This should not be a separate article. There are no references supporting its notability as separate from the manga, and it's basically just a cast list and DVD release date page and nothing more.—Ryulong (琉竜) 21:57, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
WP:BEFORE much? ChrisGualtieri (talk) 23:11, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
WP:BEFORE only matters if I'm sending this to AFD, which I haven't yet. Why do you constantly quote things that are irrelevant? This article should not have been re-split off from anything. The anime and manga are one in the same and two references for the reception does not mean we need another page between Dragon Ball and List of Dragon Ball episodes.—Ryulong (琉竜) 06:00, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Citations while Page at AFD

[edit]

Ryulong nominated it for deletion; some of the citations cannot be fixed cause I'd break 3RR if I did. So this is like an edit request. The No Balls! seen is from episode 2, the wad of cash/panties was from episode 7 and comparison shot is at the Dragon Ball wikia. Most of them are listed here.[1] Though aside from comparing the images side by side or consulting the ANN list about it is best for citations. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 19:39, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Self reverted, you are free to edit the page and stop incorrectly worrying about 3rr.—Ryulong (琉竜) 19:56, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I will refrain from doing so until the matter is settled; I do not want to even appear to have broken 3RR. What is another day? The information is not incorrect, it is just missing the citation is all. Someone can dd it if they choose to while I must wait. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 20:09, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You need to stop assuming that if two people are editing the article at the same time then that means one or the other might break 3RR.—Ryulong (琉竜) 20:10, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Until pointed and shown otherwise, I will continue to take the strict reading which shows otherwise because the alteration of the content counts as an alteration and an intervening edit does not make the next edit, positive or negative any less of an alteration that can be attributed to 3RR in selective circumstances. After all, Magog believed that there were enough reverts for either of us to be blocked, but I did not break 3RR. Whether or not your interpretation is correct is not something I want to test and find out the hard way... as it is just one person's interpretation that matters. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 20:15, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, Magog was planning on blocking us because collectively we disrupt the project with our constant squabbling.—Ryulong (琉竜) 20:16, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship

[edit]

I can't find anything about Mr. Popo being censored. They changed him from black to blue in some edits, and changed his lips. The anime and manga Wikiproject's custom Google search shows too many results to sort through. [2] Surely there is an article somewhere listing all the censorship done for the American version. Dream Focus 09:16, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but this is not in Dragon Ball, it is Dragon Ball Z. And this was done for the 4Kids edit on the CW in America. Youtube has a ton of angry comments, but this site's post is about okay for it.[3] This was on "Toonzai". In the Dragon Ball manga Viz digitally shrunk Mr. Popo's lips for its releases.[4] While not really relevant to this particular article; I think I should expand upon it for Dragon Ball Z. I just don't have a lot of high quality sources discussing all this censorship. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 23:35, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Mr. Popo was in the original Dragon Ball as well. I assumed he had been censored there too. What about the things formerly in the article? [5] Any hope of finding references for them? Dream Focus 13:16, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Look

[edit]

Stop deleting content that is not even on the list you say it is on. List of Dragon Ball characters does not contain the casting information in a clear or meaningful way. Oh and Ryulong just decided to revert it again... Fun. Let's get this RFC over with before this entire area gets sanctions from Arb Com or everyone gets topic bans. I can't believe there is edit warring over a small cast list. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 03:50, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So are you telling me that Goku does not include the information relevant to say who he was voiced by in all of the iterations of the English dub amongst the other cast members listed? Because that's all that your cast table includes, a format that is not suggested to even be included by WP:MOSAM.—Ryulong (琉竜) 03:53, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
