Accurate information
[edit]I work for Angus Reid and want to ensure that accurate information about him appears on this website. Angus Reid Public Opinion polls are the most trusted in the industry in Canada and are quoted on a near-daily basis. If someone listening to the radio or watching the news hears someone mention an Angus Reid poll and they search Wikipedia to find out more, I want to ensure they find accurate information about Angus and his company, Vision Critical. - The articles mere creation by an associate is a Conflict Of Interest. As for you other "examples", see WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. WuhWuzDat 01:02, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Editors with COIs are strongly encouraged—but not actually required—to declare their interests, both on their user pages and on the talk page of the related article they are editing, particularly if those edits may be contested. Editors who disguise their COIs are often exposed, creating a perception that they, and perhaps their employer, are trying to distort Wikipedia. When someone voluntarily discloses a conflict of interest, other editors should always assume the editor is trying to do the right thing. Do not use a voluntarily disclosed conflict of interest as a weapon against the editor.Kirstinhepburn (talk) 18:17, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
