Dance

The dougie dance should really have its own page if it's notable. This is a DAB page, so nothing else should be on it. Does anyone know enough about the dance to create a page for it? Rnb (talk) 19:04, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't know about the dance, or whether it's notable. I'm interested in creating a name page, covering the name. Dougie (disambiguation) → Dougie – Originally "Dougie" was a disambiguation page. At some point the disambiguation page was moved to "Dougie (disambiguation)", but it was replaced by a redirect to "Dougie (dance)" rather than the article itself. I'm not necessarily convinced that the dance is the main topic for this term, so I think the disambiguation should go back to "Dougie". Alternatively, if there is consensus that the dance is the primary topic, then the dance should be at "Dougie" rather than using it as a redirect. cmadler (talk) 18:28, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

  • I think that this is probably the best thing to do. I had never heard of the dance before, and I had my doubts about an article on it at all, but now I think that it's probably best that it is located at Dougie, as it seems to be the primary topic, and so the name should be located at Dougie (given name).
