Rename propsal

[edit]

Nice article! According to WP:TITLE, "Conciseness – shorter titles are often preferred to longer ones." Hence I would suggest this article be renamed to melatonin receptor agonists. Boghog (talk) 05:05, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had the same thought. Then I noticed that we have Discovery and development of CCR5 receptor antagonists, Discovery and development of TRPV1 antagonists, Discovery and development of HIV protease inhibitors and Discovery and development of non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. One should suggest name change for all or none of them, methinks. What say you? --Hordaland (talk) 05:22, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oooops, but then I typed Discovery and development of in the Search box and discovered that there are many of these titles. The discussion about shortening them has likely been had several times already. I'd say forgeddabout it. --Hordaland (talk) 05:35, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There previously was a discussion about D&D article names here and there was no clear consensus on what names should be used. On the other hand, one of these article titles was shortened by consensus (see Talk:Cannabinoid_receptor_antagonist). I still think the name of this article should be shortened and perhaps some of the other D&D articles as well since the scope of these articles is broader than just D&D. I will again raise the issue over at the WP:WikiProject_Pharmacology project. Boghog (talk) 09:14, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good. That should be the place for it (the discussion), and a once-and-for-all decision would be nice.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Hordaland (talkcontribs)
Certainly go for it on this move. SmartSE (talk) 12:10, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Undefined Acronymn SCN

[edit]

The acronym SCN is used under 'Mechanism of Action' without either defining it or providing a link. This makes reading the text arduous for somebody who does not already understand - given that wikipedia is an encyclopedia this needs to be rectified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leopardtail (talkcontribs) 21:55, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Hordaland (talk) 05:04, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
