Can Dimitrios Tsamis Karatasos be of Albanian Origin?

[edit]

As far as I know Tsamis means the Cham in Greek. And it is wide known that the christian branch of the Albanian Chams and Suliotes is still alive in Greece. Just pick up a phone book and see how many Arvanitis/Tsamis etc family names you will find.--74.59.88.57 (talk) 18:16, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Karatasos's famiy has nothing to do with Thesprotia or Chameria region; He was from Naousa and as I know greek sources didn't consider him as albanophone in addiction with others like Botsaris or Gouras. His original name was Dimitrios Karatasos and his nickname Tsamis because according to what I have read he was brave.Pavlos1988 (talk) 16:18, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong category

[edit]

Hello Antondimak. Regarding this revert of yours on an edit by IP 79.166.33.178, it seems to have been wrong. The article says that the subject was born in the village of Dihalevri in the Imathia region, not Naousa. Don't take me wrong, if you check my contributions, you will see that i have mass reverted this IP per WP:CLN, but this seems to be the only edit of his/her that was correct. Imathia is a very general category. I have included people from the municipal unit (Kapodistrian municipality) of Naousa, of which Dihalevri (today Stenimachos) is part, in the "People from Naousa" category. --Antondimak (talk) 21:00, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. Demetrios1993 (talk) 13:16, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
