Article title

[edit]

Is this more commonly known as Digital Bibliography & Library Project or DBLP? DBLP seems to be its official name, as far as I can tell from its website. Nurg (talk) 06:07, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As of 12 April 2012 (probably much earlier) the page is titled "The DBLP Computer Science Bibliography" as such I am requesting page move and also adding text to the backronym references to reflect this. Davient (talk) 03:06, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

suggested merge

[edit]

The project is certainly notable overall, but the browser is only one part of it and coannot IMO justify an independent article. Better to have one comprehensive article.DGG (talk) 23:04, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Digital Bibliography & Library ProjectDBLP Computer Science Bibliography – This is the current official title for the DBLP. The previous Wikipedia title "Digital Bibliography & Library Project" should be superseded by simply DBLP and/or DBLP Computer Science Bibliography. As the DBLP FAQ states DBLP is preferred over the outdated "DataBase systems and Logic Programming" and no mention is made of the assumed backronym "Digital Bibliography & Library Project" though this backronym description clearly fits the properties of the service.
