Netrality disputed

[edit]

This page reads almost like a promo piece, with language lifted directly from Lynch's own website and social media platforms. Self-promoting, with not a bit of context about his extremely pronounced political views. I don't know how newsworthy he is, but this article needs a big overhaul to meet Wikipedia's standards. 11 Arlington (talk) 06:10, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The film's title was inspired by the lyrics to the chorus to Neil Diamond's hit song "America".

I believe this is noteworthy and should be included in the article.

If the article were about the movie, I would agree; but as it's about the person, the article should keep to the basics about the various projects without the trivia details. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:22, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

While the numbers of individual citations change whenever an article is edited, current sources 7 through 11 and 14 may not meet guidelines as reliable: the Vimeo link doesn't appear to support the article's claim [1]; IMDB is not a reliable source; nor is there any indication that this source is reliable [2]; Is Rotten Tomatoes?; or American Thinker [3]?. Perhaps a neutral editor can double-check these. 76.248.149.47 (talk) 16:05, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As well, the claim of 200 million views needs a source. 76.248.149.47 (talk) 16:16, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I already noticed that but there were involved two administrators, I thought they have much ex

perience, I did not raise the issue. I hope the sources will be accessed again by any most experienced editors.Justice007 (talk) 16:32, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aug 12 2014 CSpan Washington Journal appearance needs inclusion in article. The lack of scrubbing of article for valid sources by experienced editors may demonstrate a very real bias in wikipedia. I get the impression this article is a total fluff and speaks ill of the editorial efforts of many.--Wikipietime (talk) 13:16, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is no biographical information referenced on IMDB, just the fact that a movie was made.

For non-controversial biographical data, primary sources could be used such as http://tv360media.com/about/ or http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dennis-lynch/5/984/7b0 --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:31, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
