I have altered the article to show the robbery took place in Loughton and not "Debden" - all supporting links inc. court material confirms "Loughton" as the location.Spymo (talk) 15:53, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, this article should be re-published under "Loughton incinerator thefts". No Wikipedian has been able to supply links confirming "Debden" as an official area - all available evidence points to the name "Debden" being a name used by local people for an undefinable area of Loughton. Obviously, that doesn't make the area a legitimate area and therefore doesn't fall inline with Wiki guidelines. With that in mind I have edited the article to show that the name "Debden incinerator thefts" is what these crimes are referred to locally. To answer your question, I was referring to the official court links, which are attached to this article and give a transcript of what was send in court.
I would add that the first two linked article from The Independent newspaper get the location totally wrong, and say: "Debden plant, near Saffron Walden,". The third Independent newspaper article from 1994 makes no mention of "Debden" and clearly states the crimes took place in "Loughton, Essex."Spymo (talk) 10:10, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, so your argument is that Debden doesn't even really exist? Hmm... Well, I would contest that personally, and, per WP:PRECISION, I would prefer to see the article remain in its current title. But this isn't a subject about which I feel amazingly strongly, so I have moved it to the title you suggested. Happy editing, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 11:04, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
