DHB section
[edit]I added a paragraph on the recent DHB events. Could use a lot more content, please add to if you can (only with reliable sources of course). Perhaps it could even have its own article as well.--Sir Anon (talk) 11:30, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Cunliffe's demotion by Shearer
[edit]I added a paragraph on Cunliffe's demotion by Shearer in November 2012, which was subsequently deleted by another user as the paragraph was unsourced. Cunliffe's demotion has been a major political story in NZ for some time, and I have subsequently reinstated the the paragraph with an added citation. 1.54.97.96 (talk) 20:23, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was moved. --BDD (talk) 20:46, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
– Since Cunliffe became the leader of the New Zealand opposition in September 2013, he's become the clear primary topic. I've just checked page views for January 2014, and we get (in descending order) David Cunliffe (politician) (2260 views), David Cunliffe (613 views of the dab page), David Cunliffe-Lister, 2nd Earl of Swinton (175 views), and David Cunliffe (producer and director) (87 views). I suggest that many of the disambiguation page views are for the politician, as I'm frequently disambiguating links that are meant to go to him. Given that this move might not be uncontroversial, I thought I'd put this up as a formal move request. Schwede66 08:58, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
- Support per other articles about opposition leaders. Tony Abbott and David Cameron were both primary topics, for example, when they were in opposition. Paul MacDermott (talk) 12:38, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
- Support – this seems very sensible! Ballofstring (talk) 20:42, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
- Support Clear primary topic in terms of both page traffic and incoming links. Search rankings favour the politican. benmoore 17:33, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
