Orphaned references in Summer Rae

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Summer Rae's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "OWOW":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 10:15, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image issue

OK, she has requested an image change. But the new image must be free of copyright to be accepted on Wikimedia Commons. To change the image for an image that will be deleted for copyright infringement is no use. She could provide a photo herself, a selfie. You could take a photo of her. You can't use images already published elsewhere that didn't provide a license compatible with commons:COM:Licensing; Except if you can provide a permission through commons:COM:OTRS. Trying to force Wikipedia won't work. Please, do it properly.

I dunno, but these Flickr wrestling fans really need to step up their picture taking game. I mean c'm on. What is this? That image never should have left the camera. Where did his forehead go? Shoot wide and crop down folks. Shoot wide. Crop down. GMGtalk 12:46, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It’s a caption competition, GMG. I’m going for “I bet he drinks Carling Black Label”. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:42, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Now we got Craigtx who changes the image (for blank) after GreenMeansGo changes it. Until she tweets a "The new image is OK", how many fans will continue trying to change it? --Lacrymocéphale 14:51, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
We can always semi if need be. Doesn't seem necessary quite yet though. I didn't catch what image they were trying to replace, but if it's photo-shopped into oblivion like it seems likely her twitter profile pic is (or arty-farty to the point of being silly like some of her other twitter pics are), I'm not sure we should be using it even if we can. Balancing image quality with encyclopedic value starts to tip away from EV at some of air brushing. In other words, she can freely license stuff like this to her heart's desire, but we still ain't gonna use it. There are actually quite few images on her twitter profile that are both high quality and encyclopedic. GMGtalk 15:09, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And I don't see why we shouldn't request her to send an OTRS email for a more encyclopedic image such as this one, where it looks like it's been taken from a camera phone. --wL<speak·check> 02:47, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well it's certainly better than the one we were using before. I would personally (and purely hypothetically) prefer something like this, with a natural posture, modest formal attire, and looking directly at the camera. But anyway, don't matter unless something actually gets licensed, and someone already told her on twitter that that's what she needs to do (specifically, she needs to follow the directions located here). I don't have access to the permissions queue, so I don't know if she sent anything, but just wanted to drop a note in case she sees this, please don't send us permission for an airbrushed glamour booty shoot. If you're going to send us something, send something educational. GMGtalk 11:20, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also I'm not totally sure I agree that the image added here by User:Morbidthoughts is really an improvement. Still kindof a weird-ish look on her face, and to my mind, a body shot makes sense for someone who is known for athletics. I mean, I would probably prefer a body shot for someone like Dwayne Johnson too, although looking at it, wow, that head shot is a really good image. Great lighting, formal professional attire...all but that stupid microphone in the way. GMGtalk 11:34, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
