about Russian record
[edit]I've heard Russian record is more in detail about when Kodayu was in St. Petersburg as he met lots of people including the prince of Russia(Paul I???). There must be more than what Japanese people know about Kodayu and Kirill Laxman. Need somebody who is accessible to Russian historical record or important people's diaries. He was there between Feb. 19, 1791 to around Sep. 29, 1791 and was active after May 8th. Kodayu went trip to Okhotsk with Kirill Laxman till August 21st, 1792--Orcano 06:01, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Keywords: 1791, Alexander Bezborodko, Kirill Laxman, Adam Laxman, Alexander Radishchev(Kodayu met him in Tobolsk on Radishchev's way to Siberia and heard about Serfdom and French revolution.)--Orcano 06:54, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Move to Daikokuya Kōdayū
[edit]This article should probably be moved to Daikokuya Kōdayū to conform with WP:MOS-JP. I'd move it myself, but it's not really my baby, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes. It should be done before more articles link directly to this one, though. -- Exitmoose 02:06, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

about the name Khotkevich
[edit]about here:
In the book 《Daikokuya Kōdayū》 (Iwanami Shoten, 2004), Japanese author Yamashita Tsuneo (山下恒夫) says Hokkeich(ホッケイチ) is ホトケーヴィチ, which sounds equivalent to a Russian name Khotkevich.
I would like to know if Mr. Yamashita is saying that the name "Khotkevich" was on the written records by Kodayu or that Kodayu simply kept spelling "Khotkevich" into "Khokkeichi"(ホッケイチ) in Japanese or that authors who wrote about Kodayu commonly misspelled.--Orcano (talk) 15:08, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
