Czech Republic at the 2024 Summer Olympics → Czechia at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Starting with 2024 Summer Olympics, Czechia will appear under its short name, just like other European countries.[1] Vasek7 (talk) 21:11, 24 April 2024 (UTC) Vasek7 (talk) 21:11, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- Comment This should likely be discussed together with the RM already underway at Talk:Czech Republic at the Olympics. 162 etc. (talk) 21:32, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
CommentOppose. Checking at the Wayback Machine, the IOC was using "Czechia" as far back as December 2022. And yet their official web site for the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games, that was held earlier this year currently uses "Czech Republic". I need to see some consistency with the IOC and other third-party reliable sources, including when they actually update the |official Paris 2024 web site with all the countries like the aforementioned web site for the Winter Youth Olympic Games. Zzyzx11 (talk) 21:36, 24 April 2024 (UTC)- Oppose. Already discussed several times. Not the common name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:30, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
