Removal of social media

[edit]

User Beetstra is going round mass removing social medial links. WP:ELMINOFFICIAL is very clear. Social media can be included if it includes unique and official content and/or it is not linked from the main website. The main website of this is in Romanian and links only to romanian social media. The english official twitter account 1) offers unique content 2) is not linked from the main website. therefore is perfectly valid. User made same changes on tam soigneur page where the social media account ofers unique content and isnt linked from main website. Dimspace (talk) 21:49, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

and again, Beestra continuing his one man edit war. Please read> "More than one official link should be provided only when the additional links provide the reader with significant unique content and are not prominently linked from other official websites." - an ENGLISH language live race feed IS SIGNIFICANT UNIQUE CONTENT as opposed to the website whose primary language is ROMANIAN!Dimspace (talk) 17:15, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and again, read the text in full. Your links fail the inclusion standard. You now have three editors removing them. Top inserting them and get consensus for inclusion. —Dirk Beetstra T C 19:05, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User OldTimeMusicFan has turned all the rider names/team names with no articles into red links. Im not sure i see the point. Guidlines: "Red links are frequently present in lists and sometimes in disambiguation pages or templates. Although red links to notable topics are permitted in lists and other articles, do not overlink in the mainspace solely for use as an article creation guide. Instead, editors are encouraged to consider WP:Write the article first, or to use WikiProjects or user spaces to keep track of unwritten articles." Most of the riders redlinked are unlikely to ever have an article written on them as they are fairly minor amatuer racers of no real interest outside of their home nation. its rather excessive to have large amounts of red links to articles that will likely never exist Dimspace (talk) 21:18, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
