Missing logic levels

The voltages for logic 1 and 0 of normal ECL (particularly ECL 10,000 series) are missing. The section "Power supplies and logic levels" has nice descriptions of other things, but completely fails to give any figures for logic levels. The subsection on PECL (which I've never heard of before) has a nice table, so I don't understand why there's nothing for common ECL. eekee (talk) 14:26, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not have a section devoted to just the ECL 10,000 series, or any of the variants that could be directly connected to that series. It is more generic than that. For example, it also applies to the ECL circuits used in IBM mainframes which were incompatible with the circuits sold commercially (and the mainframe families were incompatible with each other). So there is no place to put the logic levels, because each major ECL variant is different. Jc3s5h (talk) 13:44, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's logical, but why then does it have a section and a level table for PECL? I'm not sure whether to suggest these technical details should be added to or removed, especially considering the next discussion point too. eekee (talk) 11:50, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]


It is also not entirely clear what Vcm means in this table for LVPECL. Can some clarification be added for at least that one? The other levels are obvious to me, but I also have more tech experience so maybe the other levels should be explained/linked as well. Thanks. Busfault (talk) 14:15, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Busfault: I believe Vcm is the common-mode voltage compliance. The inputs are differential, so they can have a common-mode voltage swing in addition to their logic levels. Glrx (talk) 21:18, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
