Speed claim

[edit]

I removed the following claim:

These two ships are the fastest of all the new cruises ships built in recent years.

The reason for this is that, in addition to the "citation needed" tag, is that their (service?) speed is only 19.5 knots, which is less than the speed of Voyager of the Seas, Grand Princess and Carnival Destiny to mention a few ships built in the late 90s. I looked up the details of this ship and corrected them in the infobox. Apparently the actual (service/top?) speed of the ship is 28 knots, which definitely makes it faster than most cruise ships. However, until the claim I removed earlier today can be properly cited, I don't think it should be in the article, since original research is not allowed. For sale?

[edit]

A recent edit said the ship was out of service for sale, however the Costa website advertises cruises into 2014. However, I also found this.. Regards, a confused MrDerails (talk) 17:23, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I removed the sentence about the scrapping of the Costa Voyager because the information lacked a proper reference and i could not find any hint for it by myself. Brgds, --SteKrueBe (talk) 17:01, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
p.s. the problem seems to be solved: CruiseTricks reports that the Costa Voyager is undergoing extensive maintenance work at shipyard San Giorgio del Porto. --SteKrueBe (talk) 17:10, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Laid down 2014?

[edit]

Since the ship was launched in 1999 but not laid down until 2014 (according to the side panel), I can only imagine it is powered by a flux capacitor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Combirom2 (talkcontribs) 00:01, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
