In reality he left Berlin by plane in April of 1945 and flew to Switzerland. He boarded a Swiss diplomatic plane and flew to Spain. He was picked up in Spain by a U-boat and fled to Argentina. He was in Argentina from 1945 to 1962. When Mossad captured Adolf Eichman they moved him back to Spain where he was under the direct protection of Franco. Hitler lived a quiet life in Spain from 1962-1970 when he died. Hitler 1889-1970. 2600:1015:A027:EEB6:356F:6158:3D19:C46B (talk) 05:17, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Although it was moved without discussion (but in good faith?), making a tentative case for this name. Some alternative claims do not qualify as a conspiracy theory as defined by WP, although many assuredly do. Beyond the existence of the groom's dental remains, no particular detail is widely agreed upon. UpdateNerd (talk) 08:33, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That can't be emphasized enough. The name needs be restored asap. Considering the 80th anniversary of WWII's end we need to keep relevant articles easy to find. (Debate the name another year lol.) @Diannaa: Do you have power to send an article back to the evil location from whence it came? UpdateNerd (talk) 08:42, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved it back. A RM should be used here given that the article has long been at the original title and there are a vast number of high quality sources about why pretty much everything disputing the commonly held account of Hitler's death is a fringe view which is usually pushed in bad faith. Request Change to “Conspiracies”, excludes theories as it should discuss other things which do nae meet the common definition of a Conspiracy theory, as many of them do not include supernational or global organisations ToadGuy101 (talk) 10:57, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I said I would wait until consensus because of the reversion. I am new to editing on Wikipedia and I was in the process of fixing redirects and archives while you reverted it, and still am. ToadGuy101 (talk) 11:13, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There is a theory about hitlers death which believes he escaped to Indonesia. There are several sources online, including many possible photographs of someone who was alleged to be hitler ToadGuy101 (talk) 11:07, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My watchlist this morning is full of what looks like this page getting moved back and forth between alternate titles. What's going on? Simonm223 (talk) 12:51, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
