I can't believe that I am the only person that finds these words worthy of some attention. Or is that just a simian attitude? Wildspell (talk) 10:46, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
- Since we're simians, that would be quite appropriate. Someone just asked about this on Wiktionary; it would make a good wiki category. kwami (talk) 21:40, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Non-collateral equivalents
[edit]It seems to me that collateral adjectives generally function identically to the equivalent noun acting as the first part of a compound word. For example, thermal capacity = heat capacity. I think this should be mentioned in the article. Is there a source for it somewhere? Bob A (talk) 20:58, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's not true in general, but it happens often enough that I think it's worth mentioning, and I added s.t. Don't know about sourcing it, though. — kwami (talk) 01:37, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
