Trivandrumites

[edit]

On googling , I got this google-trivandrumites.Not one standard websites(except for some blogs) refer to this newly created word. And on googling under "news" ,I got this google-news.-Bharatveer 14:53, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • As I am living in Kerala, I knew that the people are referred to as Trivandrumites in English. It is similar to Kochiites or Keralites. We need not be so stubborn in this issue. The word is mentioned in many tourism websites and in the letters to the Chief Minister of Kerala. The word is used in "letter to editor" in Economic Times. The number of occurances in the web does not count for the popularity of any thing, especially in Indian context. However, if the word is used by the people in their letters to the Chief Minister of Kerala, it stands well as the proof of existence of the word; Trivandrumites. --Samaleks 15:52, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Dear samaleks, I am also from Kerala. But this term "Trivandrumites" is not at all in common usage.I showed the google search result only because you asked me to.I dont think "letter to editor" section can be used as a reliable source-Bharatveer 06:31, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
