When the bibliography was originally in the main James Patterson page, it was sorted into sections you could easily see what the next book in the series was. Now it is in separate table format, it would make it easier if a column allowed sorting so people could quickly see what the next "Michael Bennett" book is. 195.59.124.29 (talk) 13:57, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It would probably be better to organize the books by series, but until someone decides to do that you could click on the "Notes" column to get books in a series bunched together. RockMagnetist (talk) 18:17, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen other author's pages (including those that have separate bibliographies) sorted by main character if such sorting was nessesary. Couldn't this page (and its extremely long list of titles) be separated into subheadings based on the main character(s)' name(s) and then have an additional subheading for non-series works? The more James Patterson writes, the harder it gets to sort through this massive table. 24.187.110.61 (talk) 20:59, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I created the lists, separated into series, standalone fiction, and nonfiction. I also added his books for kids and teens. --Claire4high5 (talk) 17:43, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cite tag

[edit]

Was the Cite tag robo-added, or was the editor that added it just THAT anal-retentive? This is not a subjective article, it is a list of his published works, placed here only because it is such a long list that it was making the primary article too long. It does not need citations as it is a listing of demonstrable fact, not an article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.31.24.249 (talk) 14:04, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I removed cite template (and books are listed similarly to other authors).--Davidhs0 (talk) 21:35, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Private book order

[edit]

Is Private: #1 Suspect really the 3rd private book and Private Games 4th? http://www.jamespatterson.co.uk/books/info/?t=Private-Games says Private Games is Private 3. Although most websites (and me) are confused about what book goes where.

According to James Patterson's American website http://www.jamespatterson.com/books_private_series.php#.VzdEk-TQNSM Private Games is not considered part of the main series. This page lists the main series on top (in descending order) and then has a separate section below with the Private books that are not part of the main series. I believe this is the cause of the confusion. The list here however posts the books in order of release date as far as I can tell, so I would say that is accurate in terms of reading order. It's also worth noting that the title "Private Sydney" was only released Internationally and is not available in the U.S.

Private Rio is now The Games

[edit]

It should be noted that the book formerly called "Private : Rio" scheduled to come out in a few weeks has had it's title changed to "The Games : A Private Novel" as noted here - http://www.jamespatterson.com/books_privateSix.php#.VzdGxeTQNSM

Currently, five are listed. If you have the necessary info to add missing books, feel free to do so – but please, do not add books that are not published yet. Richard 09:19, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There are very many of them [1]. Xx236 (talk) 10:35, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As I said: feel free to add them. Richard 12:13, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I added all the bookshots to date (I think!), in "Short stories" section.--Davidhs0 (talk) 21:40, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
