Schedules and WP:Not

[edit]

Please do not add schedules or program time listings as it brakes the WP:Not rule. In my edit summary I accidentally wrote WP:NPOV obviously that is wrong. However WP:Not clearly states against Television/Radio schedules. - Mike Beckham 08:11, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why?

[edit]

Why cant we add schedules? They do it on other parts of the site

Sorry

[edit]

Sorry for adding those schedules in. I just thought for the older CN programming blocks that I might be able to tell readers what time things were on, but if it's against the rules just delete them. - Brentonniel 17:06, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Original Toonami Logo.png

[edit]

Image:Original Toonami Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Check It era or Toonix Era?

[edit]

Any sources of CN Australia would mimic their decision to Check It era from Southeast Asia or Toonix era from Latin America. Please fins sources about it. Thank you. 112.205.33.11 (talk) 05:53, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, the anonymous contributor has been edited that CN Australia will be on "Check It" era by November 12 instead of Toonix era. We don't know if it's true. 112.205.8.89 (talk) 00:09, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Despite the information dosen't have any source, the Toonix era is exclusive for Latin America, it couldn't be used in any other Cartoon Network region. So, much probably the next Cartoon Network Australia era will be the Check It. Inox talk 18:46, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

Merge Cartoon Network (New Zealand) into this article. It is the Australian version that broadcasts to the New Zealanders. After the merge is finished, move this article to Cartoon Network (Australia and New Zealand) to reflect this. JSH-alive talkcontmail 15:07, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cartoon Network Australia and Cartoon Network New Zealand are completely different channels, with different programming and different scheduling. These pages should not be merged. Forbesy 777 (talk) 00:56, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then, what if I say the scheduling of both channels (AU, NZ) are identical, even having 120% CN. Or, considering the time zone differences between NSW and NZ, we can consider CN in AU is a 2 hour timeshift of CN in NZ, right? JSH-alive talkcontmail 04:43, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Look at the following two links and, although the majority of the programming remains constant there are differences - as can be seen on Saturday October 1 at 12pm. http://www.skytv.co.nz/tv-guide.aspx http://tvguide.austar.com.au/ As such, these are different channels, and should not be mergerd. If it was a case of the New Zealand channel being 2 hours in front with no programming changes what so ever, then yes, but as it stands currently absolutely not. File:CNNewLogo.png Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:CNNewLogo.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: All Wikipedia files with unknown copyright status

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:CNNewLogo.png)
