Telewest channel number

[edit]

I have updated the NTL channel number, but don't know if the number on Telewest was changed to match NTL's. - Lee Stanley 16:24, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bravo Logo.

[edit]

Does the logo for Bravo have any significance? Is it a chemical symbol or is it meant to resemble a stylised "Devil Head"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.192.57.13 (talk) 18:42, 15 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

It resembles the devils head, and the inter-screen commercials also make devil/hell connotations. --78.86.159.199 (talk) 04:05, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bravo logo.PNG

[edit]

Image:Bravo logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Naming

[edit]

Was the UK Bravo originally associated with the US network of the same name, or is the name purely a coincidence? 217.155.20.163 19:41, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll cross-post this there, but this verges on just plain silly that dabs like Bravo (TV), Bravo (TV channel), Bravo (TV network), and Bravo (channel) somewhat arbitrarily redirect to one or the other (it's actually 2-2 with those! the first and last redirect to Bravo (UK TV channel), and the middle two redirect to Bravo (US TV channel).

Wouldn't this all be simpler if they redirected to a dab specifically on this issue (probably Bravo (TV) would be best for that purpose)? Or is the line at the top of each article meant to alleviate that? I know we've already got Bravo as a dab, but surely it can't hurt to be more specific. I've gone ahead and made the new DAB. Tromboneguy0186 (talk) 23:14, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

Bravo (UK TV network)Bravo (UK TV channel) — Stations in the UK are hardly referred to as a 'network' but as a 'channel', see: List of British television channels, http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone/idents/ and http://www.bravo.co.uk/registration/contact.html - which refers to it as a 'channel' —  [[ axg ⁞⁞ talk ]] 00:43, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

[edit]

Please Note that if this page is moved Bravo (US TV network) should also be moved back for consistency and the fact the same that moved this page to its current location also moved that one. --76.71.215.131 (talk) 23:11, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Network is a broadcast term. A cable/satellite channel should never be at "network" anyways "(broadcasting) a communication system consisting of a group of broadcasting stations that all transmit the same programs"[1] If there isn't a naming convention there should be. Bravo is a channel, any way you slice it. ~ JohnnyMrNinja 08:04, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Channel change

[edit]

I removed this sentence

In 2010 Bravo's schedule and on-air identity are set to change giving the channel a new direction.[1]

The source is subscriber only. If it can be sourced elsewhere, it can be returned. White43 (talk) 13:36, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
