Citations, references, article quality

[edit]

I have tagged most sections with {{Unreferenced section}}; some sentences with {{Citation needed}}; some ambiguous statements (e.g., "today", "now") with {{When?}} and similar; cleaned up and edited some prose; added {{lang}} per MOS:FOREIGNITALIC, MOS:LANG, MOS:ROMANIZATION, and MOS:ACCESSIBILITY (proper nouns use lang template but do not italicize, unless in something that normally would be; not added to citation templates as it will mess up COINs data); {{Not verified in body}} tags in the lead. The article needs cleanup; it appears to have been written from a source or sources, but it is not clear what those are. It appears to have been started as as a translation from the Czech article in 2006 with the following reference (uncited):

  • Christiane Borgelt, Regina Jost, Florian Bolk: "Botanisches Museum & Gewächshäuser der Freien Universität Berlin", Stadtwandel Verlag 2004, Berlin, ISBN 3-933123-10-5

Much information was added in March 2011 by IP 217.92.214.17 (special contributions) who seems to have added the majority of the sections with no references. If this information was a translation from another Wiki, that is not stated. Thus, I am not sure where the sources are in order to cite references which is why, unfortunately, I tagged. The other option would be to delete everything and start over with sources, or to try to find them if they are cited in another Wiki. The German article is rated FA, so they could be in that list; however, there are very few individual citations in that article as well. Putting this out there and requesting comments. – Elizabeth (Eewilson) (tag or ping me) (talk) 17:21, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
