Social consequences
[edit]This article isn't specific enough about the social consequences of Haussmannisation. And the 1911 Brittanica isn't the latest source of information.

Title
[edit]The article does not state when he received the title of "baron", which was not his by birth. Any ideas?72.80.105.86 23:26, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
If a "1857 decree of the emperor's ... gave Senate members the title of baron" he obtained the title after that. The claim in the article that the title is casual (assumed) is incorrect.203.184.41.226 (talk) 04:13, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
Geneva?
[edit]I heard when visiting Geneva in early 2007 that parts of it were designed by Haussmann, and certainly some streets strongly resemble his designs for Paris. Does anyone have any information on this? There is nothing in the existing article. Rodparkes (talk) 06:43, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Haussmann
[edit]Re: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Georges-Eug%C3%A8ne_Haussmann
In the last paragraph of the heading “Origins and Early Career” it's stated: “Napoleon made him prefect of the Seine on 22 June 1853…” In the first sentence under the heading "Rebuilding of Paris" it states: “Haussmann was hired by Napoleon III on 22 June 1852…"
Which is correct...1852 or 1853??
Thanks!

Good catch. 1853 is correct. Thanks!SiefkinDR (talk) 20:10, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
