Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because the topic passes WP:N. Also, the article is currently at AfD, and an !voter there has suggested that the article be kept. --Northamerica1000(talk) 05:00, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I also agree. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ridwanq (talkcontribs) 08:41, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Guardian Blog Post

[edit]

Mr. Rahat, I have just confirmed with wikipedia editors that blogs can be used if it is a 'world media, subject matter expert, dedicated blog about the topic area'. Therefore, please stop deleting the Guardian reference. The reference is specifically taken from the 'Bike Blog' of a reputed international media, the Guardian. Ridwanq (talk) 14:52, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I never told that newsblogs can't be used as reference. But you can't you use this ref to support materials like News of this org has been published in international media. Blogs are not news. - Rahat | Message 17:05, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to wikipolicy These (newsblogs) may be acceptable sources if the writers are professionals, but use them with caution because the blog may not be subject to the news organization's normal fact-checking process. If a news organization publishes anopinion piece in a blog, attribute the statement to the writer (e.g. "Jane Smith wrote..."). Dear Ridwanq, have you attributed to that blog writer? - Rahat | Message 17:21, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what the exact point you're trying to make is, but the author is a professional journalist, the bike blog is essentially a column in The Guardian and the article is not an opinion piece either. SmartSE (talk) 18:07, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Smartse for making it clear. Mr. Rahat is acting extremely strangely. I have already mentioned to him that I have talked to editors online and they have mentioned to me that it is completely find to use the Guardian Bike Blog. Ridwanq (talk) 01:45, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Number of group members

[edit]

Number of members in their facebook group should not be included in the article. It doesn't provide any significance. The process of registration to this organization is just to join their facebook group.source:here Anyone can add anyone to a facebook group without his permission. All 24,000 members of their facebook group are not interested in this organization and also possible that someone has added them to this group although they have no wish to join there. I am removing it. - Rahat | Message 02:26, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Rahat Bhai....think you missed something there is a registration link the the website www.bdcyclists.com.....ref. http://bdcyclists.com/register/ Anyone can join the rides of BDC they do not need to register for that. Facebook events are created due to the ease of use of the events. But to be member of the group one has to register through the website registration page link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The sorcerer (talkcontribs) 04:28, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Rahat, you have mentioned, 'All 24,000 members of their facebook group are not interested in this organization and also possible that someone has added them to this group although they have no wish to join there.' Please explain from where you are citing your information from. It is important that you provide valid evidence that shows that all 24,000 members of their facebook group are not interested in this organization. Do you have proof that someone was added to the group even though they were not interested? Ridwanq (talk) 09:37, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to "BDCyclists"

[edit]

I cross checked several documents, including their website. "BDCyclists" is the only formal name I found. Mrb Rafi (talk) 05:11, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
