Christianisation
[edit]I appreciate very much those Balangao people because until now, they preserve their culture. their being hospitality is one i can say how good people they are. Now a days IFERANGAO are being Christianize, they now give up those earthly beliefs and now turning on to the true living GOD. If you wish to visit our home..it is your previledge.
... we must not be unti-Christ, not because of the love of culture, but neither praise Jesus our God because of the gift of culture..

notability established; sourced should be added
[edit]The Balangao seem to be notable enough, judging by Google results. In particlar, there is a language called Balangao, most probably associated with this tribe, which is even discussed in the scientific literature. See here for an overview; one sample publication is:
Shetler, Joanne (1983). "Semantic and
thematic structure of discourse in Balangao". Studies in Phillipine Linguistics. 4 (2): 10–87. ISSN 0119-6456. {{cite journal}}

But certainly there are also sources for the tribe as such (books, for example). Please add these to the article.
I am removing the "importance" tag. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 12:12, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Balangao or Iferangao? What is it

"Balangao" is a collective term for the geographical origin of certain tribe called "iferangao" who inhabit at Natonin Mountain Province. "i" means "from" or "of" and "ferangao" is a term used to refer to the indiginous people in this place. They call themseves as "ferangao" or "balangao"; these terminologies may actually mean the place or the people themselves. However, "iferangao" may strictly mean the people from "ferangao" or "balangao".------122.52.99.207 (talk) 11:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC)122.52.99.207 (talk) 11:28, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
