Typo?

[edit]

Is "Takananmi" a typo for "Takanami"? There was a previous ship of that name: Japanese destroyer Takanami.

Shipyards

[edit]

It was my understanding that the name "Ishikawajima Heavy Industries" did not exist in in 1958.

What is the company Iono HI? Should this be Hitachi Zosen Corp?

Shipyards 2

[edit]

I have added the Builders to the Ship Info but I have not made any changes to the named Builders in the Table of Ships as I didnt write the article and didnt believe it my place to make changes to the considerable amount of work you have done on this page- anyway these are my thoughts regarding the shipbuilders in the Ship Info

List of Builders I have input into the Ship Info Table - (there were none shown) Ishikawajima Heavy Industries (1) Kawasaki Dockyard Co. (1) Mitsubishi Shipbuilding & Eng. Nagasaki Shipyard (1) Kobe Shipyard (1) Mitsui Shipbuilding & Eng. (2)

List of Ships (I have not edited this table)

  • Ayanami, Mitsubishi Zosen, Nagasaki, believe they were called Mitsubish Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. at this time
  • Isonami, Shin-Mitsubishi, Kobe, believe they were called Mitsubish Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. at this time
  • Uranami, Kawasaki, Tokyo, believe they were called Kawasaki Dockyard Co. at this time
  • Shikinami, Mitsui Zosen, Tamano, believe they were called Mitsui Shipbuilding & Engineering at this time
  • Takanami, 'Mitsui Zosen, Tamano', Ditto
  • Ōnami or Oonami, Ishikawajima HI I agree with this one.,
  • Makinami, 'Iono HI, Maizuru, assume this is meant to be Hitachi Zosen

Various references relating to the Shipbuilders
