Wiki Cleanup

[edit]

I think I'm going to move the section about individual use of archives downt to the section called "other users" to clear up the intro paragraph. More clarity. Kendal Fong 17:42, 28 Oct 2009 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kendalfong (talkcontribs) 00:41, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Archive Definition

[edit]

In the first section you have, that should simply define an archive, you flooded the reader with information. The sum of this information should be spread throughout different sections in the article. For instance, I feel that the part that states "...The archives of an individual may include letters, papers, photographs, computer files, scrapbooks, financial records or diaries created or collected by the individual – regardless of media or format" should be recatagorized as examples of archives. Also, when you discuss "...The archives of an organization...," this should be done under the subheading "Business." Lastly, I feel that your information about "...a person who works in archives..." should be placed under "Users and Institutions." — Preceding unsigned comment added by RazorXX8 (talkcontribs) 22:38, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Limitations and alternatives

[edit]

Added the historian perspective to the issue of the lack of archival sources. I also added an example.– Batili anlamda ilk editor (talk) 15:35, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
