Call-out order table

[edit]

Why is it deleted? I tried undoing the deletion but it says that in coflicts with some other edits. somebody please restore it. Arthurfung (talk) 10:49, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because, a registered user vandalized and removed the call-out order and I restored it back. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 11:41, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Summary Table

[edit]

Summary: Somebody that is not this site's moderator keeps' updating the elimination bracket/table before the episode even airs and possibly show the wrong Tyra call out order. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.216.153.79 (talk) 00:52, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Contestants

[edit]

I personally think that because we know the contestants' heights from the websites this year that we should get a table like the one Australia's Next Top Model, Cycle 5. It would really spice things up, don't you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.197.10.116 (talk) 16:57, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It would be nice except that it is AusNTM, not ANTM. If you want to make a table, in order to make it coherent with the rest of the articles, I suggest the same be done for all 13 cycles as well, and not just Cycle 13.ZephyrWind (talk) 01:29, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with ZephyrWind ... MistyWillows talk 03:24, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A height table would be good for this season, even if it isn't in the others, because this season is focusing on the heights of the contestants. To have the heights in this article would not be weird, even if we do not have the heights in the other articles. Whether we add heights to the others or not, I vote we put heights into this one. Diemunkiesdie (talk) 02:04, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'll get started this weekend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.197.10.116 (talk) 22:41, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Number

[edit]

Although Amber withdrew, she is still a contestant of this cycle. That means there are 15 girls. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.22.189.112 (talk) 05:02, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. She still should be included on the list of contestants on this page as well as the official one. Coinboybrian (talk) 19:29, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm, there a logical flaw in that argument. By what standard do you mean "she is still a contestant of this cycle"? If you say since she was called initially to be finalist in the house, then it's not true because in the end she wasn't a finalist anyway, so it's still 14. We need a standard to gauge the no. of contestants, and I suggest that as being the no. of girls who moved into the house as the MAIN cast. I think it would be different if Amber quit at let's say, the makeovers. So I say keep it as 14, or run the fear of ambiguity. ZephyrWind (talk) 07:59, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think moving into the house is a reasonable criteria, since Amber does appear in the elimination table, she should be included, ... MistyWillows talk 02:58, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Sorry I shall make myself clearer. I also posted this on the "List of ANTM contestants" discussion page (it's just my opinion, still, at the end of the day)

I feel that Amber shouldn't be an official contestant simply because:

  • She never made it into the house to start the main competition, just like all the semi-finalists
  • She never had a single promotional photograph taken, and did not appear in any Cycle 13 promotional material
  • Her bio isn't even mentioned (even slightly) on the CW website
  • She quit (not even eliminated) before the start of the main competition, just like all the other semi-finalists

How can then can she be considered an "official" contestant? Food for thought, would the same situation arise if Amber had quit on the spot right after her name was called? What if six girls quit and Tyra called back another six girls? Then the no. of "official" contestants would increase to 20?ZephyrWind (talk)

The contestant was entered as replacement into the competition, but was eliminated

[edit]

I think it should say AND was eliminated. She was entered as a replacement, then was eliminated later. 86.172.30.65 (talk) 11:19, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

How is an unverifiable post in a public online forum's spoiler thread considered credible sourcing for an encyclopedia entry? Realistically, given the number of NDAs and other contractual binders in place surrounding not-yet-broadcast episodes of reality shows, disclosure by an individual so bound (which would be the only way such information could be known for certain), even if the information turns out to be correct eventually, it's nothing more than speculative until the episode's airdate. As Wikipedia maintains, content must be VERIFIABLE. 70.124.89.116 (talk) 21:37, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Immunity

[edit]

The colour for immunity may be new to ANTM, but actually, the same thing happened in this years Britains Next Top Model. The colour used there was lightgreen, so I changed it here from yellow to lightgreen. :) (Kyleofark (talk) 17:16, 1 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

This is inconsistent with the earlier consensus to use white on dark colors for uncommon events, and black on light colors for common events ... MistyWillows talk 09:08, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's like in AusNTM, Cycle 4 & 5. Brittany was immune from elimination and won an extra prize, so do Alyce and Franky. 58.186.232.247 (talk) 04:49, 4 October 2009 (UTC).[reply]
Not really, there's a slight difference. ALyce and Franky won the reward challenge and won immunity; Brittany won immunity and was given a reward. ZephyrWind (talk) 12:57, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
But it's like Heather in cycle 9, she also received an additional reward. TanPhat Nguyen talk- -contrb 11:14, 12 October 2009 (UTC).[reply]
Yup, I've added it in at the description at the bottom of the table that she won an extra reward. ZephyrWind (talk) 13:36, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Makeovers

Brittany's first call-out & Joint First-Callout

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I can't understand why Brittany is listed as having a first call-out this week, while Tyra stated that the entire group was called first. I don't remember anyone saying that Brittany was the best of the team. If the judges picked one girl out of the three, the first call-out would probably go to Rae, after hearing all the positive feedback she received.

The call-out order should be Rae - Brittany - Jennifer since Tyra quite clearly said that was the order of who did the best. StupidityxLEAK (talk) 22:56, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the Rae - Brittany - Jennifer, as well as the single box, but how do we show that Rae and Jennifer won the challenge? God, it seems that Tyra really wants to complicate this page, haha. Coinboybrian (talk) 00:14, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Simply, because they are all jointly called first, we shall denote them as such. It doesn't matter who did better because at the end of the day, they are all counted as a first call-out, whether we like it or not. ZephyrWind (talk) 03:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The table mentioned Tyra's Call-Out Order, not Tyra's First Call-Out. Therefore, it should still be Brit-Rae-Jen eventhough Rae was deemed the best of the group. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.22.174.63 (talk) 02:39, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK I added in a note under the table to clarify everything. Hopefully it does haha. ZephyrWind (talk) 09:03, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can't the cells be merged so it says "Brittany & Jennifer & Rae" like the Rebecca/Tiffany box in Cycle 4? 139.184.30.132 (talk) 14:25, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That would be the logical thing to do, except Rae and Jennifer both won the challenge and there would be no way to indicate that. Coinboybrian (talk) 14:51, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The order should be Brittany, Rae and Jennifer, because even though Rae did the best, Tyra called them with Brittany first, Rae second and Jennifer third 68.147.245.53 (talk) 02:00, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I feel it should be Rae, Brittany and Jennifer. The descriptor at the bottom explains it quite well. Anyways, I feel that we should NOT merge the three cells into one because it has no way of showing Rae and Jen's reward wins that episode. It is similar to Cycle 4's double elimination of Rebecca & Tiffany, Cycle 5's non-elimination of Jayla & Nicole, and Cycle 10's Aimee/Amis audition call-out. They all had the same placements that episode but their cells weren't merged together. ZephyrWind (talk) 13:38, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please!!No Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!

[edit]

Seriously! I just read that Nicole gets eliminated next then, Kara, then Erin!! stop! I really hope that not true! Please let it not be true! And how can anyone know that right? I mean it had no sources! Just please no spoilers or fake spoilers or whatever.

Those spoilers are vandalism, and should not be believed. The people who post them are purposely giving misinformation. ... MistyWillows talk 18:21, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rae

[edit]

Last name, Weisz. On episode 6 column of the table, she must be first, even though it is a group call-out, "Rae killed the two of 'em (brit and jen) in this picture (Cirque du Soleil - theme)." She should be first and not Brittany. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eagerbeaver1620 (talkcontribs) 10:16, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About Whadaheck's edits

[edit]

First, the edits of Whadaheck (talk · contribs) are not funny when Lisa is not in the finals in the casting week. I'm really sure that his edit making an edit war. I guess to revert the better version to ZephyrWind's edit.

From ANTM talk page archive: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:America%27s_Next_Top_Model/Archive_4#Added_color_to_table

Came from Misty Willows (talk · contribs):

There is a new situation of "The contestant was entered as replacement into the competition, but was eliminated" this cycle. The first couple of colors used for this were ipreviously used colors, that would cause a conflict with the established color scheme. i chose chocolate because it was unique to the table and fit the established scheme.

The contestant was entered as replacement into the competition, but was eliminated

Does anyone have an objection to this?

That the green color box is usually used for when a semi-finalist has made it into the finals during casting week. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 16:34, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lisa being "entered into the competition as replacement" and denoted as dark green in the first episode is wrong simply because she was never called, and this is a CALL-OUT table. ZephyrWind (talk) 01:40, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
None of the eliminated girls, nor Tessa and Giselle in the first part of the first episode of cycle one were called. So your point is moot. I'm changing it back to green, as chocolate isn't even on the talk page, nor is the immunity color. Discuss first, add the color later.--Whadaheck (talk) 16:39, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
hu? they were not called because they were not among the original semifinalists. as the green color says it they were spotted at a seperate audition and later added to the cast. out of the top 20 only 8 girls where chosen in episode 1 from Cycle 1. Shameless (talk) 00:07, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Whadaheck (talk · contribs) did this again. Could you restore it back? You may request an admin to block Whadaheck indefinitely? ApprenticeFan talk contribs 01:56, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed it and put a warning on whadaheck's talk page. Even though theres enough of a pattern to suggest blocking, he hasn't been sufficiently warned. Next time, you can put a warning on his talk page, I don't have any special powers that you don't have ... Misty Willows talk 10:33, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's a great word, but can something else be substituted for "castigated"? It's been used so many times it's all I notice when I read through the article now! I'm looking now to see if I can verify that the material was here before it was placed there. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:17, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All right 13:56 on September 10, here, the material was altered from "The replacement of former judge" to "The removal of judge". That's a good sign. Let's me see if I can find a definitive diff. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:32, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
All right. I've narrowed it down. They copied the Wikipedia page at some edit between 20:04 8 October 2009, when the misspelling of Sundi was corrected, and 3:30 9 October 2009, when the page was altered away from the version reproduced at the external site. (Even if they corrected the typo with Sundai themselves, they could not have copied it much earlier, as extensive material they used was introduced at 16:43 8 October 2009. Double Elimination Order

[edit]

Several times someone has reversed Erin and Jennifer in the elimination order. On Talk:America's Next Top Model I stated why it should remain, Jennifer followed by Erin. Please continue the discussion on that page. ... Misty Willows talk 07:33, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. And I think that in the call-out table, it should be Erin and then Jennifer, as girls are only refered to by their first names. I think people are determined to change it to make it look like Jennifer did better in the competition than Erin, just because they dont like Erin. (Kyleofark (talk) 18:44, 17 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I feel we should put it in terms of first name for the table simply because we only address them by first name on the table. ZephyrWind (talk) 06:48, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'd just like to point out to that a user editted the page to suggest that it should be Jennifer, Erin on the table as the same happened in Cycle 4 with Rebecca and Tiffany, and Erin's leaving VT was shown first. I still think that it should be alphabetical, because the reasoning used is to thin. They showed Erin leaving the house first, but that could be for so many reasons other than her coming fourth and Jen third. (Kyleofark (talk) 18:18, 19 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
There is still confusion here you all say they should be listed alphabetically then that means Jennifer should be last, so why does it list Erin following Jennifer in "Order of Elimination". To me you all are not serious ANTM fans if you don't realize ERin went before Jennifer. --KrumpMaster4 (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The way we meant it was that in "order of elimination" we use the girls surnames, so Jennifer An would be above Erin Wagner. On the callout table and on the show, the girls surnames are very rarely, if ever mentioned, so on the table Erin comes before Jennifer. I'm very much a serious top model fan, and all what happened was that Laura was given the final picture. Even though Erin's leaving package was shown first, that doesnt mean she came fourth. The girls came joint third, or joint fourth whichever way you prefer to look at it. :) (Kyleofark (talk) 20:23, 19 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]

The way that this is going, there are multiple editors who are on both sides. I mean, there's the chance that one side could be full of socks, but assuming good faith.... Considering that the whole day was spent going back and forth and back and forth, perhaps page protection would be a good idea until this is settled? SKS (talk) 05:31, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see multiple editors on each side. I see consensus among the editors, with the exception of KrumpMaster4, who was blocked for defying the consensus. Anyone who doesn't bother to participate in the discussion on the talk page, has no voice in the consensus. -... Misty Willows talk 17:34, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
ZephyrWind has voiced his opinion on the original ANTM talk page, and there have been other editors who have edited otherwise. Your point is correct in that they should bring it to the talk page, but there appears to be more than one dissenter. SKS (talk) 18:57, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I can only see the one dissenter, KrumpMaster4... Zephyr Wind's comment is with the majority from what I can see, and the other comments are in support of the alphabetical order. I dont object to a merged field, but the argument would probably still continue then with somebody putting Jennifer on top anyway. (Kyleofark (talk) 22:41, 20 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I'm sorry but I see alot of unfair things such as MistyWillows blocking me for an unfair reason I have been watching ANTM since it first aired back in 2003. I have also been viewing the Wikipedia pages of ANTM since 2006. I thought by signing up for an account I would be able to express my views on the greatest show ever made and add my share to tables and summaries of the episodes. I guess I was wrong. It seems that its MistyWillows way or no way. Also I am not the only one who feels Jennifer An should go after Erin Wagner, several other memeber have changed this not only myself. I feel also that we should look at their progress and compare them (just as Tyra) we true ANTM fans know that Erin was in the bottom four times in a row. Jennifer was only in there once. It is unfair the way I have been treated such as being blocked. This is a community to share yuor thoughts and ideas, but I'm afraid you all will never realize this. One more thing, in cycle 4 several girls were shown being called to recieve their pictures but were later still seen not recieving them. If we don't acknowledge this then we can't we leave Jennifer and Erin the way I want it!?!?!--KrumpMaster4 (talk) 12:07, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But the fact that Erin was in the bottom so many times doesnt mean she was eliminated first. Thats original research that cant be proven. And besides, I can play that game if you wanted - Erin recieved much better feedback on the elimination week. Should that mean she goes first? No! Because it proves nothing. Its really a non-issue. Andy ou say you shouldnt have been blocked, but you stated that you would continute to edit it until people gave up despite that going against the concensus. I dont think your intentions are bad, but trying to make things go your way isnt always going to work. I wrote a whole section of Nicole's wikipedia page only for it to be deleted, but shit happens. (Kyleofark (talk) 13:16, 21 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
KrumpMaster4, you are wrong on so many points here. First , I never blocked you, I'm not an administrator, I don't have the power to block anyone. Second, Its rarely my way, since I only reverse people to conform to wikipedia policy, not to maker things the way I want. (There are a lot of things, in alot of articles that I would like to change, because I see them different, but I olny try to make an edit once unless I can back it with Wikipedia policy and consensus). And most of all, you are wrong in thinking you can express your viewpoint in any article (WP:NPOV), make edits that go against consensus (WP:Consensus) or ignore Wikipedia policy(WP:NOT). If you think something should be a certain way, you have this page to convince the rest of us to agree with you. If you do that, then you can make the edit, because yo have consensus backing you. Otherwise let it go ... Misty Willows talk 03:29, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like to say I was blocked for vandalism for 72 hours. For simply combining the cells of Jennifer and Erin, and Tiffany and Rebecca. This is a complete injustice the user who blocked me has never even made a contribution to the page. If I knew how to I would block them. Please can we agree to disagree, I will leave the Call Out Order alone starting now if we can fuse the cells together so the read Erin & Jennifer (alphabetical) the same must be done to Rebecca & Tiffany too. What do you say? Depending on if I get blocked again I will try to respond. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KrumpMaster4 (talkcontribs) 17:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You were blocked by an administrator because you kept making changes to the page that were not supported by most of the other editors on this page. If you ever make changes that seem debatable or "controversial", the way to resolve it is to bring it on the talk page and talk it out before making the change again. To be stubborn and/or to repeatedly go against consensus is an easy way to get blocked. SKS (talk) 18:03, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nicole Won, Not Laura

[edit]

Someone needs to correct this. The final episode just aired, and Nicole was the actual winner, despite whoever put it there first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.112.184.61 (talk) 02:05, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's already fixed after Nicole the actual winner not Laura. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 03:31, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Nicole is NOT a natural redhead. She's said so on the bonus footage videos and has been mentioned by other castmembers too. Her natural hair colour is brown. Can this be changed on the third paragraph of the page? Survivorfreak (talk) 17:41, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's also worth noting that in the last bit of the show Tyra called Nicole ANTM's first petite winner ever even though she's half an inch taller than Eva Pigford (Cycle 3). I would be quite peeved if I were Eva as she won against models of 'normal' height.94.66.38.39 (talk) 20:28, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree completely I was actually the one who put this in at the top of the page, but again Misty Willows took this off! I say we try to ban her!--KrumpMaster4 (talk) 12:07, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
=.=" What Tyra says doesn't have to become law. The fact is that Nicole is NOT the first petite winner (by both ANTM history and industry standards), whether we like it or not. No matter what Tyra chooses to say to promote her own show, the fact is fact. Nicole is second, Eva was first. PS. It's the same as in Cycle 11 when she said Amsterdam was the capital of Holland, which is false cos it's the capital of Netherlands. ZephyrWind (talk) 09:33, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, the word "The youngest winner of the series" probably WP:OR. It has been removed many times and don't add the article. Thanks. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 23:51, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First one is def true - I just checked it out. Sundai is clearly there when Laura joins the girls - you can see her hair. Laura also isnt there when Sundai joins the others. (Kyleofark (talk) 22:50, 28 January 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Erin & Jennifer

Their elimination boxed should be merged. Like Cycle 4's Rebecca & Tiffany box. 139.184.30.132 (talk) 21:55, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The call out table says she quit in eps 1 but the text says she quit in eps 2 so a reliable source is needed to back up the claim she quit in eps 1. Mtking (edits) 19:22, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They're currently in order of how good their critique was at panel, which forgive if I'm wrong, could serve as Original Research136.8.33.69 (talk) 12:48, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
