I have removed the warning about the page needing "additional browser plugins". Perhaps this was once the case, but it does not seem to be now. The page uses Flash, but that is hardly unusual nor does one need to be warned about it. Mister Ant 19:40, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The warning was added per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (links)#File type. Granted, it's not a "file" per se, but it is considered polite to warn a user that a link may not work without a certain plug-in. If there are no objections, I will restore the reference. Birthday

[edit]

Aliana's birthday is December 21st. If you go to Aliana-Lohan.com, in a People magazine interview, they state her birthday to be December 21. The article is dated December 30, 2005, so just scroll down on the home page to see it.
People : Any holiday plans?
Ali : I love Christmas because my birthday [Dec. 21] is near Christmas and I get twice as many presents.
I know her official site says her birthday is December 22, but Lindsay's official site also had incorrect information on it for many years. They had her birth name as Lindsay Morgan Lohan and her eye color as green. Now, after finding her drivers license, they have her birth name as Lindsay Dee Lohan and her eye color as hazel. 64.30.110.9 22:49, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not clear if the date was inserted by People magazine or by the site. If the former, it's a reasonable citation. If the latter, it is not a reliable source and so cannot be used as a citation. --Yamla 22:57, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
[1] According to a post here, the interview can be found in the latest People magazine as of Dec. 17, 2005. A person posted the interview on December 17th, which was also posted by the webmaster/webmistress of Aliana-Lohan.com on December 30th. The issue of People must be dated either December 11th or December 18th, though I think it's probably the 18th. Stephe1987 07:27, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I found the article again here. I'd say that I am 99% sure that Aliana's birthday is December 21. I agree with 64.30.110.9 in that official sites are not always correct, seeing as Ali's sister Lindsay's official site had her middle name and eye color wrong for about four years before they finally fixed it. The article can be found in the issue of People magazine that hit newstands on December 17, 2005. Stephe1987 22:08, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The people who run Ali's site supposedly get the information from her mother, but I've also been told that not all of it came from that source. As for the info at llrocks, I don't know when or why they went from green to Hazel, but the middle-name information was only confirmed on TEENick (and, later, on the site) after her Driver's License information was leaked to the Internet, perhaps leaving her no choice but to give an honest answer. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 22:25, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How do you contact the people who run Ali's site? I tried to e-mail them yesterday (webmaster@alianalohan.com) but that is not a valid email address. I would like to find out for sure when Ali's birthday is so I can have it correct on my fan site. Stephe1987 22:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Still working on it... :) RadioKirk (u|t|c) 23:17, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am writing a letter to Ali in the mail and asking her about that. If anyone else has any questions they would like to ask her, either for their fan site or for this Wikipedia article, e-mail me at stephe1987@yahoo.com. Stephe1987 02:35, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Update: LLRocks, Inc., has confirmed to me that the birthdate on Ali's official site is correct. Unfortunately, the corporation at this time has a telephone number and e-mail address that's only available to the news media (of which I am a member) so, while alianalohan.com already is considered a reliable source, the confirmation is original research. :) RadioKirk (u|t|c) 21:03, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Italian american

[edit]

She isn't in the Italian american actors list, but she has the same parents as Lindsay Lohan...

The article must provide a reliable citation in order for the person to be listed in that category. --Yamla 14:44, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lindsay Lohan is listed as italian american and Aliana Lohan has the same mother and father...

Please see WP:CITE and WP:RS. You cannot use another Wikipedia article to provide citations for this one. --Yamla 14:08, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New CD

[edit]

Aliana's first album, "Lohan Holiday", will be coming out on October 10, 2006. It's been in some news articles and also on one of her fansites.[2]

Now in the article and cited. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 13:42, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why the Aliana Lohan/ Tynisha Keli plagarism suit has been deleted both times I've alluded to it on the page. Not to make a big deal about it, but it was mentioned on Tynisha's blog and as a small section in Spin Magazine under NEWS. I wonder if Aliana's page is not monitered to exclude any information that reflects poorly on Aliana, including factual information. Just an observation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.67.7.197 (talk) 20:03, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can we get a picture of Ali??

I'm working on it. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 03:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NOT QUALIFIED

[edit]

This girl is not qualified to have a wikipedia page. Just because she is the sibling of a celebrity doesn't grant her the right to have a page. And as for her modeling and movie credits, thousands of other girls and guys have those flimsy credentials, but they don't have wikipedia pages, nor should they. Let's only post noteworthy people here folks. Before you know it, we'll start giving movie extras wikipedia pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.117.28.58 (talk) 04:22, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.53.180.50 (talk) 02:25, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no qualification needed to have a Wikipedia article about a person. In fact, you're welcome to go and create a Wikipedia article about yourself. Not to defend her, but I'm sure her profile gets more views than some others. TheXenocide (talk) 02:06, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Debut Studio Album

[edit]

The present text of the article states that Living Lohan "will focus mostly on the recording of her debut studio album".

If Interpersonal is her debut studio album, then what was Lohan Holiday? Was it not recorded in a studio? Was it her "pre-debut album"? Or is it her debut album in the same way that her mother is an "ex-Rockette"?--Wee Charlie (talk) 21:14, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lohan Holiday was recorded in a studio, but is not considered a studio album because the album was not new material. The majority of the album would have had to been recently written and to be Ali's songs in order for it to be a sutdio album. The songs would also have to be non-holiday oriented. A holiday album is an album with only songs about holidays.

Cut it out!

[edit]

Stop taking her out of categories her sister belongs to as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.51.65.172 (talk) 23:05, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YOU stop adding categories that have no sourced information in the article to back them up. It's irrelevant what categories her sister's article has. This article isn't about her sister. Ward3001 (talk) 23:30, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heritage

[edit]

If Lindsay is of Irish and Italian heritage, she is too. But was she raised Catholic also?

She won't say yet but I'm pretty sure she's Roman Catholic as well. I mean, if her sister is then why not Ali? K-K (talk) 17:17, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing

[edit]

It's really confusing that her last name is used (when referring to her sister in the same sentance) without adding first names. If her first name was used more often, this would make it clearer. Is there any reason not to do this?

Picture of Ali

[edit]

Can someone get a picture of Ali? I don't know how to get one but can someone who's very advanced at this get a picture of her, please? K-K (talk) 14:23, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If there's not a free image in the article, it's a good bet that one is not available. Ward3001 (talk) 16:16, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What?

[edit]

in the articles it states "Made a track with lil wayne on the carter 3" I believe this may be a false sentence that someone added to be dumb or really need grammar lessons because it's not even a complete sentence and "Lil Wayne" isn't even capitalized and neither is "Carter 3"

Interscope Records

[edit]

I have checked the Current and Past artist pages of Intercope Records here on Wikipedia, and I have also checked the Interscope Records website and all its affiliated labels, and Ali is not signed to any of them. This is why I don't think it should say that she is signed to them. I know that Dina (her mom) said on Living Lohan that they just needed to go to Intercope Records to get Ali signed, but they never said she was signed, so I don;t think she was ever signed.

Another items relevant to the Music section of the article -- Ali is described as "working on" her second album. Given that this album was recorded last year and that she doesn't appear to be doing anything relating to the album now (nor is there any apparent indication that said album is slated for release), it seems to me that this section would be more appropriately worded "Lohan recorded a second album in Las Vegas in 2008, but no release date has yet been announced for this album." or similar.--Wee Charlie (talk) 14:09, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Given that we're now two years past the end of the series, with no apparent prospect of the release of Ali's album, it may be time to consider changing the text about the album to read something along the lines of "A full album was recorded, but never released." If the album does end up being released, this can always revised. (Personally, I suspect that the series and single didn't generate enough 'buzz' for the record company to consider Ali's material to be worth releasing, but that's purely personal speculation).--Wee Charlie (talk) 13:21, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances as an Extra

[edit]

Isn't listing Ali's appearances as an extra a little pathetic? Stating that her dubut was as an extra is fine, but listing every appearance she made as an extra is absurd. I would be inclined to list speaking parts only, beyond her dubut appearance.--Wee Charlie (talk) 13:11, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Significant unsourced edits

[edit]

There appear to have been significant edits made to this article by user 92.40.3.132 that make major changes to the article without providing sources to back them up. I would suggest that the article be reverted to the August 27th revision, but I'm not sure how to do this.Wee Charlie (talk) 22:15, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
