The physician David Eugene Smith sourced ([1]) the connection between Greek-Alexandrian iatromathecians and the more ancient superstitious cult of Herms Trismegistud. Apart from that, the translation of Johannes Hispalensis and the comment of John of Saxony was unsourced and now it is so. Regards.
