Wrong information being reinserted

Verifiability

Dear Editor,

Sir, on the page “Alavi Bohras”, there is a template message focusing on various issues and making it dull, unauthentic, unverifiable and ambiguous. I think you have a long and robust experience of editing on Wikipedia. Below points could throw light on the issues included in the template…

1. Not much research work has been done on Alavi Bohras (AB) as they have been mistakenly considered as the offshoot of mainstream Bohra communities. 2. The website www.alavibohra.org is the only web facility available catering to the needs of scholars interested in the history of AB. 3. The sources, references and minor mentions of AB from the published books described in Wikipedia are the only third party books written by non-AB. 4. Because AB constitute to be the smallest group among Bohras, its history and origin has been overshadowed and fabricated by the historians who were ignorant about its facts and got carried away by the material available in the market without verifying it. 5. “NoorAlavi” who often edits the AB page is associated with the library of AB situated in their centre at Vadodara. 6. It is very difficult to verify the material written on AB page as any editor could not find it anywhere else. It is being translated from the manuscripts.

As you all have a great expertise in editing, I request your kind attention in resolving the template issues.

Merely pointing out the reasons behind the issues mentioned in the template messages does not solve the issues. If you want to solve the problems: write concisely and in a neutral tone that does not sanctify Alavi Bohras nor condemn others, provide reliable sources that do not have a vested interest in promoting the Alavi Bohras, and leave out things that cannot be sourced properly as they may not be WP:NOTABLE. --HyperGaruda (talk) 05:04, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have uploaded the following on commons but am unable to insert it in Alavi Bohras page. If I redo the same it shows that the file already exists and it has been duplicated...

@NoorAlavi: I assume you tried to edit the page through VisualEditor. I do not have any experience with that tool, instead preferring to edit the source code directly. I can only help with the latter: if you somehow can get into source editing mode (I think it should say "Edit source" somewhere at the top), you can insert files by adding a line like [[File:ImageName001.jpg|thumb|Caption line that describes the image.]] where you have to take care to copy the file name exactly as it was uploaded to Commons. --HyperGaruda (talk) 19:49, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
