[edit]

Shouldn't all these quotes be moved to Wikiquote ? DFH 17:35, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Honorary doctorates?

[edit]

Anyone know which institutions awarded these to Tozer? DFH 18:04, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Publication details

[edit]

Need to add a first edition date and the publisher for each of the listed works. Once all these dates are known, then the list could be sorted into date order. DFH 18:21, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture of Tozer?

[edit]

Anyone have a suitable digital image portrait of Tozer that they would be prepared to upload? DFH 18:19, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion of lengthy additions

[edit]

Hello Wikifriends — I reverted a lengthy section of edits to follow the "WP:NAMES" guidelines for biography. Avoid lengthy descriptions of background detail and early life. Please discuss here if you note important details to early life that need to be incorporated.

I don't feel that my descriptions qualify as "lengthy." The man is worthy of more than three sentences on his early life. A few paragraphs is not excessive. DrakoKajLupo (talk) 00:08, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Source number 11 includes a downloadable pdf of a biography of Tozer ("The Life of A.W. Tozer: In Pursuit of God"). This pdf does not come from the site of the publisher or the author and I am wondering is this is a legal copy, since the book is also still sold on Amazon. Liever (talk) 17:48, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are right to suspect that it isn't a legal copy. In that case we shouldn't be linking to it - see WP:COPYLINK. Tacyarg (talk) 20:54, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like it was added in this diff by StAnselm (talk · contribs), who will hopefully see this ping and update about whether this is non-free text. Thanks. Tacyarg (talk) 20:59, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, fair enough. I have unlinked it just to be on the safe side. The ref is still good, of course. StAnselm (talk) 23:30, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
