In 1999 or 1998?

[edit]

According to http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20070717i1.html the school principal suicide was in 1998 as a result of an education committee directive, not this law. Alastair Rae 14:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks; but, no revision of this article has said the incident was 'a result of this law.'
"In 1998" must be a simple mistake of the news writer. Another Japan Times article reports the incident was "on Feb. 28, the day before his school's graduation ceremony." In the same February before the incident, the then Prime Minister had said the government thought there was no need for the legislation. --Dumpty-Humpty (talk) 04:46, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Provisions for the flag

[edit]

I'd be great to get a sense of the red shades each organization was talking about just so as a reader we know 1) what was being considered and also 2) a sense of the differences in perception of color in Japan v. the West, if any.--Aichikawa (talk) 16:21, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Number one can be seen at Flag_of_Japan#Design, since I thought it would have been too much. The only thing that I noticed between East and West was not the perception of colors, but more of what color systems are used. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 17:04, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
