API redirect to API (disambiguation)
[edit]Most of the links to here are for Application programming interface so I'm making the API page redirect to that page and putting an other uses banner upon the top. Harryboyles 06:27, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Other information about APIs (non-technical)
[edit]This article focuses on what an API is. But I would also like to see additional information - look at this article - http://venturebeat.com/2013/07/31/enterprise-api-programs/ Does anyone have information on what APIs are used for in the industry, how they are used in different companies and institutions, and general statistics about them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.55.55.37 (talk) 16:16, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- This article is a disambiguation page. It's only purpose is to point readers to the various articles they might be looking for when searching for "API" on Wikipedia, nothing more. The pay-for-placement link you listed here is not useful. - SummerPhD (talk) 16:58, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Why there is no Advanced Programming Interface anymore?
[edit]Application programming interface means nothing for most of nowadays developers and shrinks to openapi spec for rest api microservice. But, for example, SemVer implies descriptive API spec for everything that uses SemVer. Let's have a look at React. It doesn't have Application programming interface, but it has interfaces. And they are Advanced. 154.59.110.150 (talk) 06:16, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
