The Breda 40mm Compact mounts names. There is a lot of confusion, but the official name of the Breda 40mm Compact is "Breda Compact Twin 40mm/L70 Type 70". The same name of for the point defence version (bought by Venereal) is the same name except "Type 75". Source: Jane's Weapon Systems 1976 page 469. Then the bad news, in the late 1980s Breda decided for marketing reasons to change the name again to the "Breda 40mm/L70 Fast Forty".
