The reason for my request to edit the text link to the United States racial unrest is to edit the date as it is no longer active or present. Koah15 (talk) 09:18, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yiou have not said what you want to alter it to. Slatersteven (talk) 09:58, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We follow what sources say New York Times and do our best not to have racial infused titles. Moxy🍁 01:12, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
facts aren't racial infused...they were clearly violent riots 108.198.192.43 (talk) 14:39, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The first sentence does NOT say they were riots. It says riots and demonstrations. That is, among the protests there were some riots and some peaceful demonstrations. The title uses protests because that covers both peaceful demonstrations and riots and is therefore more accurate than labeling all as riots. O3000, Ret. (talk) 14:45, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

update kill count in infobox

[edit]

currently says "19 deaths confirmed", but linked source speaks of "at least 25 deaths". should give credit where credit is due. 2A02:8108:2600:1700:250E:31AF:D8C8:75B (talk) 16:54, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe, but it says "At least 11 Americans have been killed while participating in political demonstrations this year and another 14 have died in other incidents linked to political unrest, according to new data from a non-profit monitoring political unrest in the United States.", so it seems to be to say only 11 have been confirmed as due to the BLM protests.
