Hi, my name is Juliet Coggins. I am Romeo Johnson's webmaster and I am definitely arguing the deletion of this article. No disrespect toward you and the job you do for Wiki, but there is nothing wrong with the article, as it accurately describes the history of Romeo Johnson who has been in the music business for 20+ years, starting as a bass player for Ali Woodson of the Temptations. He is a star in his own right, and does not need to promote himself, they come to him plain and simple. This article informs the user with knowledge that falls in line with Romeo's impressive history as a musician, artist, vocal trainer, writer etc. Romeo and I have worked on his Wiki all morning, we would ask kindly that you not delete it and give us the chance to edit it, if that is really necessary since it is written better than some of the articles I have seen on Wiki that have been up for years. No offense, but I have been watching the challenges that have been thrown up on his Wiki today, it seems as if we are being singled out for some reason. The cites are supported by Romeo's official bio, and official resume. Thank you, Juliet Coggins.

Hi, thank you for trying to help us :)

I am looking for sources right now, there are a couple challenges I am faced with.

The first being that even though I am creating this article for him, I am actually am just learning about Romeo, as we are not as personally connected as you think. Our relationship is new, and we had discussed that there was not much on the web for him. I'm sure Romeo has the information we need, which if I'm understanding could be from a news article, magazine etc.

Just because there is not a lot on the web for him, does not mean that he is not notable, rather the issue is to whom he is more notable. If you were to ask Teddy Riley if he knows Romeo Johnson, he would say yes, but if I asked my next door neighbor she may not.

I understand my writing may be a bit poor, but as you can see we have been working on the proper wording and edits all day today. It is important to Romeo that the facts are right about him, no one would know best but him. Of course being new and not understanding Wiki policy, I took Romeo's words as fact, and to me is the best source of information. Since Wikipedia is interested in getting the facts straight, we thought our starting the article for human editing was best.

Again, thank you for your patients and help, and I am working on making this a stellar article that cannot be argued. I'm so new that I'm not even sure if I am responding in the right pace here. I hope you get this.

Sincerely,

Future editing

Editors who are affiliated in any way (personal or professional) with Romeo Johnson must adhere to the following guidelines when editing it.

1. Before even starting to edit it again, please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Autobiography for guidance.
2. Similarly, Wikipedia is not a newsletter or bulletin board. Avoid terms like "now", "soon", "currently" and "recently" which make the article both imprecise, and in many instances, quickly inaccurate. Instead, use expressions such as "as of 2009".
3. Remember that you are writing for an international readership, not simply Americans, and not simply your potential customers. Avoid the use of abbreviations like FL for Florida, NYC for New York City and expressions like "around the country" for "around the United States".
4. This is an encyclopedia article, not Romeo Johnson's personal web site or news letter. All additions must be referenced to reliable sources. Future performances are inappropriate. Performances should be added once they have actually taken place and a reference for them can be provided.
5. Evidence to support notability or make claims about the subject's notability and to assert praise or otherwise from others must be referenced to reliable published sources which are independent of the subject.
6. All additions must be neutrally worded and use encyclopedic tone and style. Any additions which can be perceived by a neutral reader as hype or PR will be removed. See Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Avoid peacock terms for guidance.
7. Do not paste in text from your or anyone else's official websites, blogs etc. Apart from the almost invariably unsuitable promotional style, it is a copyright violation unless the sites explicitly display a license compatible with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License. There is a list of compatible licenses here. Further guidance can be found on the following pages. Please read them carefully:
8. Remember, that once you have written an article on Wikipedia, you no longer own it. It will always have to conform to Wikipedia's policies on content, style and formatting – not to the subject's desired image or marketing goals.
