I declined the Speedy deletion nomination presented for this article, because there is an assertion of notability. However, every notable event (the TV competition win, the "Beauty and the Beast" recording, the state dinner performance) lacks a verifiable, independent reference (none of them are mentioned in the ''China Daily'' article linked above). Without them, Meilin does not meet the requirements for notability. I will hold off for a week, giving the article creator time to find references for each of the assertions presented in the article; if they are not added to the article, I will send it to [[Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion]], where the community will discuss the article. Articles without suitable references generally do not survive the AFD process. Thank you for pointing those out. So I removed the iTunes link, left the Myspace ones as you said it was okay. There are THOUSANDS of sites about Meilin and HUNDREDS of articles all over Google and Baidu, I attached some links bellow for you to see. |

Can I change my user name by the way? I did not realize the name was a bad choice. I am trying to create this artist page with the best neutral knowledge I have and sources. Can you help me out so this does not get deleted? The purpose is not to promote it's to inform.
