Stream Global Services, Inc. (formerly known as Global BPO Services Corp.) is a global outsourcing solution provider, providing BPO services for Fortune 1000 clients (including Dell[1]), with 32 service centers in 18 countries.[2]

Stream global services just recently joined work operations with the multi-national company eTelecare Global Solutions.[3]

History

Stream Holdings Corporation was founded in 1993 as an outgrowth service for a large software reseller.[3] Stream is now a global provider of sales, customer service and technical support for the Fortune 1000. Since its inception, Stream's global footprint has expanded to cover 22 countries, with more than 30,000 employees in 50 contact centers. Stream currently manages more than 45 million voice, e-mail, and chat contacts a year from customers around the world.

Global BPO Services Corp. (AMEX: OOO) was founded by Scott Murray in 2008.[3] Global BPO announced that it had merged with Stream Holdings Corporation in July 2008 and subsequently changed its name to Stream Global Services, Inc.[3] Murray then recruited more than 40 former Stream employees to return to the company.

The recent combination of Stream Global Services with eTelecare Global Solutions.[3] brings together two strong forces in the industry. The new Stream Global Services maintains a global presence across North America, Europe, Philippines, India, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
