StarWind Software, Inc. is an international computer software company specializing in the fields of storage virtualization and building of iSCSI SAN shared storages.

History

StarWind Software is a privately held company being a spin-off from Rocket Division Software, Ltd. (founded itself in 2003) in 2008 when round A of investments from ABRT Venture Fund[1] was received. StarWind is headquartered in Burlington, MA, USA.

Products

StarWind Software had developed a line of products in the area of storage virtualization and clustering. It was StarWind iSCSI SAN used by Intel[2] and Microsoft[3] to hit ground breaking 1 million of IOps (I/O operations per second) record back in 2010.

Certification

StarWind solutions are certified as "VMware ® ReadyTM"[4], "Citrix ® ReadyTM"[5], and "Works with Windows ® Server 2008 R2"[6].
