Soviet civilization (Russian: Советская цивилизация) is a 2001 collection of writings by Russian author Sergei Kara-Murza.[1] This book is a bestseller.[2][3]

The book was included by Eksmo Publishing House in the book series “Classics of Russian Thought”.[4][5][6]

Description

The author's opus magnum,[7] the book has gone through several reprints.[8] The author himself considered it his best work.[8] The book is permeated with anti-Western sentiments and bitterness over the collapse of the “Soviet [social] order”.[1] The author criticizes elements of Eurocentrism in Lenin's thought.[8]

Critics

The book was criticized by Mikhail Veller, calling it a lie.[9]
