Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav is an Indian Hindu religious television series, that premiered on 19 June 2023 on Colors TV and JioCinema. The show traced the first love story of the universe, exploring the journey of Shiva and Shakti. Produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Swastik Productions. It stars Ram Yashvardhan and Subha Rajput. The series is a fictionalized retelling influenced by ancient Hindu literature and traditions and does not adhere strictly to traditional or scriptural accounts.

Production

[edit]The series set has been designed by Omung Kumar. He revealed it took 2 to 3 months to complete the set's design including Kailash, Asur Lok and Indra Lok.[1]
Casting
[edit]Ram Yashvardhan and Subha Rajput were cast to play the leads as Shiva and Shakti.[2] Tarun Khanna was cast to play Indra.[3] While Vishwajeet Pradhan was cast as Daksha.[4][5] Srikant Dwivedi was cast to play Vishnu.[6]
Reception
The series started with an average rating of 1.3 TVR. It started to grow slowly and entered the top 10 most watched Hindi TV serials. During the Sati Daahan (Demise) track in the 2nd week of August 2023, it received 2.1 TVR and became the fourth most watched Hindi TV serial. [7]
Spin-off
[edit]The show was having a spin-off with series named "Lakshmi Narayan – Sukh Saamarthya Santoolan" describing the story of Lord Narayan and Goddess Lakshmi.[8]
