Seven Kingdoms |
---|
Seven Kingdoms are an American power metal band from Deland, Florida. They are the creation of guitarist Camden Cruz and vocalist Bryan Edwards, was formed in Deland, Florida in 2007 after they parted with their previous band, This Solemn Vow.
The next two members to join were brothers Kevin and Keith Byrd on guitars and drums respectively. Rounding out the group were John Zambrotto on keyboards, and Cory Stene playing bass guitar.
Later that year that the band recorded their debut album, "Brothers of the Night" at Morrisound Studios, in Temple Terrace, Florida. Several influences of this album are derived from the writings of fantasy novelist George R.R. Martin
Since their formation, the band has played several shows throughout the United States and Canada, including international showcase Prog Power[1] in Atlanta, and Florida Powerfest.[2] They will be playing Powerfest 2 in December 2010.
In 2009, the band signed with Nightmare Recordings|Nightmare Records[3] and recorded their second, self-titled album. During the recording of their new album, the band ultimately decided that keyboards were not going to be featured, so, John left the band. Prior to recording the album, Cory also left, so the recorded bass parts for the album were handled by Miles Neff.
The most significant change that took place was, prior to recording, founding member Bryan also decided to leave the band. He was replaced by female vocalist Sabrina Valentine.
Since recording the album, Miles has left the band, and has been replaced by current bassist Aaron Sluss.
The band is currently rehearsing for a 2010 United States / North American tour opening for international recording artists, Blind Guardian.
