Sean Gilbert Peter Burns (1961[1] – 16 March 2023) was a British civil servant. He served as Administrator of Tristan da Cunha on three occasions from 2010 to 2013, 2016 to 2020, and from 2022 until his death in 2023. Burns had previously served as Administrator of Ascension.[2]
Death
[edit]Burns had a stroke on 9 March 2023 and was admitted to Camogli Hospital in Edinburgh of the Seven Seas. He died on 16 March aboard RV Meteor while en route to Cape Town for further treatment.[2][3][4]
