Samarium(III) arsenate is an arsenate salt of samarium with the chemical formula SmAsO4. It has good thermal stability, and its pKsp,c is 22.73±0.08.[3]

Preparation

[edit]

Samarium(III) arsenate can be produced by reacting sodium arsenate (Na3AsO4) and samarium(III) chloride (SmCl3) in solution:[4]

Na3AsO4 + SmCl3 → 3 NaCl + SmAsO4
